ある日、農夫が飼っていたロバが、義理の母親を蹴ってしまった。
翌日、母親は亡くなった。
彼女が埋葬される日、多くの男たちが教会に集まり、僧侶は驚いた。
僧侶: あなたの義理のお母さんは、たいそう好かれていたんですね。
葬儀にこんなに参列者がいるなんて、これまで見たことがありません。
農夫: あの人たち、葬儀に来ているわけではないんです。
ロバを買いに来ているんです。
Script
One day a donkey that a farmer keeps kicked his mother-in-law.
The next day she died.
When she was buried, a lot of men came to the church. The priest was surprised.
P: Your mother-in-law was liked very much.
I’ve never seen so many people for the funeral.
F: They didn’t come for the funeral.
They came to buy the donkey.

mother-in-law 義理の母
father-in-lawで義理の父。
sister-in-law, brother-in-lawなど、
「義理の」という場合は、in-lawを後ろにつければよい。
in-lawsと複数形にすると、義理の家族。
姑、小姑、という場合も、in-laws
bury 埋葬する(土葬）
日本は、今はcremate（火葬する）である。
