ある男が交通事故にあった。

男はすぐに病院に担ぎ込まれた。
男の左半身は、完全に麻痺していた。
彼の母親が医者に尋ねた。

母親：息子の左半身は治るでしょうか？
医者：完全によくなる（全部右になる）と思いますよ。

Script

There was a man who got into a car accident.

He was soon rushed to the hospital.
The left side of his body was completely paralyzed.
His mother asked the doctor.

M:　 Is the left side of his body going to be cured?
D:　 He is going to be all right.

be rushed to the hospitalで、病院に担ぎこまれる。

最後の right が、「大丈夫」と「右」の二つの意味を持つ落ちになっている。
右が、正しい、あるいは大丈夫、という意味を持つのに対し、左はあまり良い意味を持たない。
たとえば、 left-handed と言えば「左利き」だが、「不器用な」という意味も持つ。
